Installation & Torque
How do I install a KUTNEX battery terminal?
Disconnect the battery (negative first), slide each cable into a terminal hole, seat the terminal on the post, then tighten the post bolt and the cable screws. Reconnect the negative last. No cutting or crimping of the post is needed.
Do I need any special tools to install these?
No — just a standard wrench or socket for the post bolt and a hex/Allen key for the cable screws. Everything needed to clamp the cables is built into the terminal.
How tight should I tighten the terminal?
Tighten until the terminal is firmly seated and the cables cannot be pulled out by hand — snug and secure, without over-torquing. The anti-loosening screw design helps the connection stay tight over time.
My old clamps keep coming loose — will these fix that?
That is exactly what the easy-to-tighten head and anti-loosening screw design address. KUTNEX terminals are built to clamp firmly and resist the vibration loosening that makes cheap clamps detach.
Can I install these myself, or do I need a mechanic?
Installation is straightforward DIY work for most owners. If you are not comfortable working around a battery, any mechanic can fit them in minutes.
Coming: Battery Terminal Fitment & Torque Guide
Post identification chart, the four measurements to take in your own engine bay, torque table, and a print-to-scale paper template you can hold against your battery before you order. Body dimensions are already published in the dimension table.
We are still measuring — every dimension in the guide is taken off the actual product rather than a drawing, and we would rather publish it late than publish a number we have not verified. There is no signup form here yet because we have nothing to send you yet. When the guide is ready this box becomes the place to get it.
